You think first birthday’s come round fast… and then they are two. Honestly, how fast does time fly?!

I’ve been planning what to get little A for a while now and you guys were keen for me to share the ideas I’ve had. For the record we won’t be giving her all of these things right now - I plan to spread some over her birthday and Christmas - but hopefully this will give you the birthday gift inspiration you need for your own little one, friends little one, niece or nephew!

RIDE ON - OUTDOOR PLAY

MINI MICRO SCOOTER

I am so excited for her to wake up to this on her second birthday. They come in a variety of colours, and you can customise it with these super cute handle ribbons and this adorable little scooter bell. I plan to get one of these carry hooks that I’ve seen people use on prams too - as I can imagine they’ll be time when out solo that this will come in very handy! Shop here.

BANWOOD BALANCE BIKE

I’ve got my eye on the Banwood balance bike which comes in the most adorable pastel colours. Plus, you can get a wooden wicker basket to go on the front too - sold. Balance bikes are said to be great for teaching little ones to ride a bike, and I can’t wait to introduce one to little A later this year. Shop here.

LITTLE TYKES COSI COUPE CAR

We have played with this both at friends and play groups and little ones seem to love them! I had one of these when I was little, and I’m sure it’ll be a fab addition to our garden toys! Shop here.

HELMET

Safety first and all that jazz. I’ve gone for a Micro helmet to match little A’s scooter and bell. A helmet is a must for both scooters and balance bikes. Always check the sizing and fit. Shop here.

CO-ORINDATION AND BUILDING

WOODEN TRAIN SET & ELECTRIC TRAIN

A fab addition to the toy box - their very own train set. I’ve had my eye on these for a while and am so excited for A to play with this. I’ve also received a top recommendation to add on an electric train to make it more ‘life like’ - I can’t wait to see her little face! Shop here.

DUPLO - CLASSIC BRICK BOX

Help build their fine motor skills, problem-solving skill and creative thinking with Duplo! This cute set comes with 65 colour bricks, including a car with moving wheels, flowers and number bricks. I love the fact that this set comes with it’s very own storage box too - Mum win. Now to make sure it all goes back in there! Shop here.

ROLE PLAY

We love imaginative play in our house. Tea party’s in the play kitchen are a regular thing. Below are some of our favourites, and some that I’ll be adding to our own play room.

BABY DOLL

Since introducing a doll, it’s incredible to see little ones empathy develop. Little A now even breastfeeds her little doll which is just adorable. I plan to diversify our dolls on my next purchase as I feel this is important to do. Shop here.

TOY PRAM

Possibly one of thee most used toys in our house. Great for outside on sunnier days, or pushing round the house. We even have one at the grandparents for when we go there. Highly recommend to go with your baby doll or cuddly toy. Shop here.

TILL

To expand our tea party play, I wanted to get a till so little A can play cafes, and I can begin to introduce the concept of money/ paying. I think she’ll love this - and I’ll just remove any parts that may be a little small to begin with. Shop here.

TOY BIN VAN

If your little one loves bin day as much as little A, then this toy is amazing for him/her! Shop here.
