1st Birthday Gift Ideas!
First birthdays are such a special milestone. One year of your little one. One year of motherhood. One year as a family. There is so much to celebrate and reflect on, and we had such a fabulous time marking this very special milestone with our own baby girl.
Aubs was totally spoilt (what a lucky girl she is), and received so many kind gifts. From books to clothes, keepsakes to toys, we feel very grateful to our friends and family for their generosity and kindness. As you guys requested,

PLAY
PLAY KITCHEN - IKEA DUKTIG (WE DID A MAKEOVER ON IT OURSELVES!)
I wanted to do something extra special for her 1st birthday, whilst getting her something she’d be able to play with for year to come, so I decided to ‘pimp up’ the IKEA Duktig play kitchen. We were so happy with how it turned out! Dusky pink with a rose gold trim for our special little chef in the making - for those of you who fancy giving this a go yourself, they’ll be a blog post up soon with a step by step process/ products we used. WOODEN FOOD SETS AND A COOKING SET
These sets were gorgeous, and I was really happy with the quality too. I picked them up in George Asda. I ordered two wooden food ones; a core groceries set and a meat and vege set. They came in super wooden boxes that Aubs loves playing with and stacking too, and they’re great for storing the food inside the play kitchen cupboards. I then ordered this wooden cooking set that came with pans, plates, cutlery and utensils - perfect for her play kitchen!
DEAR ZOO WOODEN PUZZLE TRAY
Another great toy to strengthen babies hand eye coordination, whilst helping little ones learn the names of different animals. A really fun toy!
PRETTY WOODEN TEA SET - JOJO MAMAN BEBE
This is such a cute gift to spark imaginative play. Aubs loves helping me make my own brew (I do the pouring of course), so now she can make one of her own. With cute tea bags, cups and saucers, as well as biscuits, it’s totally adorable! Note: I did remove some of the smaller pieces as they’re a little small for her at the moment.

PERSONALISED PINK MINI MOLLY BRACELET WITH TINY HEART - MOLLY BROWN LONDON
The most adorable precious gift to keep and mark a 1st birthday. In gorgeous baby pink and silver, the heart came with her initial ‘A’ which was super cute. It also has two catches so can be worn both as a baby, and into her teenage years.
TIFFANY & CO MINI DOUBLE HEART TAG PENDANT
This was a super special and generous gift Aubs received from across the pond, and one that I’ll treasure for her until she’s old enough to wear it. Engraved with her initials, and given on her first birthday. A truly special gift.
BOOKS
Reading is something we do daily together, before nap times when home, and every bedtime. She was given a lot of fabulous books - I’ve popped a few below…
TIGER THAT CAME TO TEA
A childhood favourite and one that my Mum used to read to me. We bought her the 50th edition board book, and wrote a little 1st birthday message for her on the inside.

MY FIRST YEARS PERSONALISED DRESSING GOWN
Soft and snuggly, with an adorable eared hood and personalised on the front with your little one’s name. It’s so so gorgeous! It even came in an amazing personalised box which I’m going to keep all of Aubs 1st birthday cards, and keepsakes in too.
IN-CAR DVD PLAYER
Slightly random, but if your little one doesn’t travel well like Aubs, then this one could be for you! The only thing Aubs will actually watch is my dancing DVD’s at the moment, but I reckon this one will be a winner for our longer car journeys over the next few years.
A TO Z ALPHABET FLASH CARDS
Making ABCs fun! A box of cards with letters of the alphabet alongside colourful creatures. These came alongside a personalised book ‘The Alphabet Chase’ from Papier.
